Clean Cooking Activities

Solavore (rhymes with “locavore”) manufactures and sells sustainable, clean cooking solutions. While its initial market focus is developed countries, its ultimate aim is small-business incubation - sales and assembly in fuel-poor, sun-rich developing countries. Our flagship product is the SolavoreTM Sport solar oven, the industry leader in price-performance, family-size capacity and rugged durability, complemented by our night-time/cloudy-day high-efficiency wood-burning stove - clean energy solutions for all seasons, from summer sun to monsoon.

Solavore is a women-owned business committed to building a sustainable and profitable enterprise dedicated to establishing clean cooker distribution businesses in developing countries. At the core of Solavore's business model is its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) driving triple bottom-line results: (1) Ensuring Return on Investment (ROI), (2) Empowering Women, aiding climate change mitigation, and (3) Commitment to cost-effective, environmental practices in its operations.

Partnership

We view the Global Alliance for Clean Cooking as a major conduit to markets in the developing world, helping us realize our vision of empowering women with clean cooking, infinitely renewable cooking technology, and the ability to develop the business skills to go one step farther, from user to provider. The GACC approach to coordinating programs that span all steps in the clean cooking supply and demand chain, from technology and research to end-user finance, provides an important support network of resources for companies like Solavore. In return, Solavore will, through our online and offline marketing programs, increase awareness of GACC in all of our target markets.
