CleanCookAfrica is a social enterprise established in 2021 to provide affordable clean cooking solutions in Ghana and West Africa. In Ghana, over 70% of households rely on polluting fuels like kerosene, charcoal and firewood for daily cooking needs. Ethanol is a clean, renewable cooking fuel that can displace biomass use. However, ethanol stoves have low market penetration in Ghana due to lack of availability and high prices. CleanCookAfrica’s ethanol stove provides an affordable clean cooking solution. The company is engaged in assembly and distribution of ethanol stoves, ethanol production, community outreach and marketing, distribution network expansion, quality assurance, and monitoring and evaluation.
