Clean Cooking Activities

TASC develops high-impact carbon projects across Africa, including large-scale clean cookstove initiatives in Zambia and Zimbabwe. We distribute improved stoves free of charge to ensure accessibility and maximize environmental and social benefits, especially for women and children. Our projects aim to reduce fuelwood use, lower emissions, and improve household air quality. We apply rigorous monitoring, including Kitchen Performance Tests (KPTs), habit surveys, and beneficiary interviews, to ensure real-world impact. These efforts are certified under leading carbon standards and contribute meaningfully to climate mitigation and sustainable development.

Partnership

TASC is committed to advancing clean cooking solutions across sub-Saharan Africa and potentially further afield by leveraging over a decade of experience in carbon project development and monitoring. Through this partnership with the Clean Cooking Alliance, we aim to contribute our expertise in project implementation, rigorous monitoring, and transparent reporting to support the scaling of clean cooking technologies for rural communities that rely heavily on wood fuel and charcoal.

As a trusted developer of high-integrity carbon projects, TASC will work closely with the CCA to promote robust standards for carbon credits from cookstove initiatives, helping to build confidence and credibility in the voluntary carbon market. We are dedicated to sharing data, insights, and field learnings openly to foster collaboration and accelerate impact in health, climate, and sustainable livelihoods.
