Mission

The Joe Slovo Foundation seeks to commemorate the life and work of Joe Slovo, - leader and hero of the anti-apartheid struggle and in the words of the late Nelson Mandela "A Great African Patriot". Inspired by Slovo’s legacy, the Foundation's mission serves to empower least developed and impoverished African regions. In keeping with Joe’s ideals, the Foundation utilises a ‘Sustainable Livelihoods Approach’ combined with acute business acumen, the organisation’s focus on building resilient communities through providing to generate an income.

The Joe Slovo Foundation is involved with a consortium of partners who are manufacturing, distributing and supporting the free implementation of very fuel efficient wood burning stoves (made from quality steel that last for 10 years) throughout Africa funded by carbon credits.
