Organizational Expertise
Capacity Building, Climate/Environment, Research, Technology and Fuel R&D
Technologies & Fuels
Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), Solar
Clean Cooking Activities
As both a research institution and a collaborating center of UNEP, one of our current research projects focuses on energy access within (protracted) displaced populations. In August, we collected quantitative data in Nyarugusu refugee camp, Tanzania, on the switch from the utilization of traditional fuels to LPG and published a report (see link in profile below). Our next project is still being finalized, but will hopefully focus on Bidibidi settlement, Uganda.
Partnership
We would like to gain more knowledge of the actors within the field of energy access & displaced populations, while also building partnerships and assisting in research within the field.
