VISIONARY EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME® targets most poor and vulnerable members of the marginalized communities by empowering them through renewable energy solutions.

VEP is currently involved in the distribution of energy saving stoves, in line with our renewable energy mission of creating sustainable economic, social and environmental value within our community.® We have partnered with Ezylife Kenya to sell efficient cook stoves that help reduce drudgery on women and increase access to non-polluting power for warming, lighting and cooking. Some of the other stoves include Jiko Poa, Jiko Tosha, Envirofit.

VEP has so far empowered 1697 households with biodigesters which produce biogas used for lighting and cooking. 13,411 households with solar powered lanterns and 11,060 with energy saving cookstoves. These products are made affordable through cheap loans at an interest rate of 1% on reducing balance provided by KIVA macro fund.

In addition, VISIONARY EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME (VEP) is the implementing® partner of® Kenya National Domestic Biogas Programme (KENDBIP). We have constructed 1700 biodigesters and provided them with biogas burners.

Partnership

VISIONARY EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME would like to participate in the partnership by being the implementing partner. Being operational since 2006, we have gained extensive experience as distributors of renewable energy products in Sub-Saharan Africa.
