Clean Cooking Activities
Domestic gas demand in Nigeria is about 400 million cubic feet a day (MMcf/d) which is very low compared to the size of Nigeria’s population and its gas resources. The domestic market is limited by the inadequacies of Domestic Gas Sales ecosystem, structure and processes, and at the macro level, inadequacy of the gas transmission and distribution infrastructure.
Our solution within the micro level and further to the partnership that we seek, will be aimed at;
1. addressing the identified gaps,
2. drive increased domestic gas uptake,
3. improve gas retailer/user engagement and service delivery
4. directly work towards reducing deforestation if not outrightly eliminate it through a Customer Incentive and Support Scheme
5. Encourage the use of domestic gas at a pocket friendly cost and payment terms within the following markets;
Underserved areas - by providing affordable gas to non users
Rural areas - educate on and encourage the use of gas through communal kitchens
Partnership
White Wall & Lysi, a Business Advisory and Business Development firm based in Lagos, Nigeria is setting up a Smart Gas Meter Management and Distribution Network (Gas NowNaija Nigeria Limited) including the development of a Gas Retail Sales App (GasNowNaija) in Nigeria within the short term and West Africa in the medium to long term, while seeking a partnership and or collaboration with organisations operating a similar model in Africa to ease the learning and technical management process. Our objective is to engage in collaborative activities to provide cooking gas across Nigeria within the shortest time possible and help protect the environment, deforestation, and promoting healthy living among all categories of Nigerians, using the most convenient and price friendly model
