The World Heart Federation unites its members and leads the global fight against heart disease and stroke, with a focus on low- and middle-income countries.

World Heart Federation brings together thought leaders in cardiovascular science to catalyze the global fight against heart disease & stroke. It is most active in the sectors of health and science through research, advocacy and awareness building. As a founder of the NCD Alliance, the World Heart Federation has had extensive experience interacting with the WHO and the UN in order to raise the priority of cardiovascular health within the global health agenda.

In addition to several community level initiatives in China and countries throughout Africa focused on improving cardiovascular care, we are the owner of two international awareness campaigns - World Heart Day and Go Red for Women.

Partnership

As an area that lacks recognition and supporting data, we would like to increase awareness of the impact that exposure to smoke from traditional fuels and stoves has on cardiovascular health to highlight the need for additional research to be conducted.
