Youth in Agriculture for Economic Development (YAED) is a youth-led organisation based in Malawi with its Secretariat in Blantyre, which is in the southern part of the country.
As an NGO with keen interest in addressing and ending environmental vices, YAED has been working on retaining back the environment through its project " Retain the Shed" . through this project the organisation has empowered the community to plant 8-10 tree trees per family and provides capacity building. Furthermore the organisation has helped its target beneficiaries to use of animal mud as an alternative source of energy for cooking and other biomass mass.
It has interested YAED to request your good office to become one of your partners in Malawi to manufacture, distribute and provide capacity building on cookstoves.
Partnership
In Malawi, households use charcoal as a source of energy' however, it endangers the environment through wanton cutting down of trees.
This challenge can be addressed through explaining the savings that will be realized by not having to buy charcoal which is more expensive and help the community to build a kitchen to house the cookstove for fast fire, and long lasting heart and energy.
As such, YAED would like to partner with you in the manufacturing of the coockstove and distribution.
