Summary
SNV Netherlands Development Organisation is expanding its energy sector portfolio to support Vietnam’s just energy transition and 2050 net-zero commitment. SNV invites individual consultants and consulting firms to express interest in supporting technical activities across a wide range of clean energy areas. Selected consultants will join a dynamic roster for short- or long-term opportunities aligned with SNV’s energy access, climate mitigation, and inclusive development goals.
Key Technical Areas of Expertise
SNV is seeking consultants with experience in one or more of the following domains:
•GHG Inventory & ESG Reporting (GHG Protocol, IPCC, CDP, GRI)
• Decarbonization Strategy Development
• Energy Transition Policy & Coal Phase-out
• Clean Energy Workforce Development & Re-skilling
• Digitization of Energy Systems (IoT, Smart Grid, Analytics)
• Energy Finance (Green Bonds, Blended Finance, PPPs)
• Gender Equality & Social Inclusion (GESI) in Energy
• Carbon Project Development (MRV, carbon credit certification)
• Electric Mobility Infrastructure & Policy
• Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
• Biomass, Biogas & By-products (Biochar, Bio-CNG)
• Circular Economy Integration in Energy Systems
• Climate Tech Ecosystem Development
• Energy & Climate Adaptation Strategies
Qualifications
•Master’s degree in relevant technical field (Bachelor’s + experience considered)
•Minimum 5–10 years of professional experience in the energy sector
•Experience in Southeast Asia and/or development cooperation (ODA) is a plus
•English fluency required; Vietnamese nationals from underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply
