Bank Financing for Clean Cooking Carbon Projects
As part of its Catalytic Finance Accelerator, the Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA) has helped facilitate financing for clean cooking carbon projects in Africa, including by pooling banks and investors, building the capacity of banks to finance clean cooking carbon projects, and undertaking deal structuring. This work has generated important lessons learned, both in terms of opportunities and challenges.
On November 14, 2024, CCA hosted a webinar to share this knowledge with the wider sector and to generate even more interest from the banking sector in financing clean cooking carbon projects. The webinar highlighted a range of relevant perspectives, including those of banks (national, regional, and global); development finance institutions and other investors who may partner with banks to achieve environmental, social, and governmental impacts; and clean cooking carbon project developers.
