What is a Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC)?
An NDC is a plan that countries submit to the United Nations, outlining what they will do to fight climate change–such as reducing emissions in their electricity sector or taking steps to adapt to climate impacts. Countries may include clean cooking if it contributes to these goals. Countries are asked to update their NDCs every five years.
