Green Urja Unique Technologies & Systems (GUTS)
Mission
The mission of GUTS is to reduce pollution and poverty among the poor, especially women. It has 3 divisions dealing with: 1) improving the lighting system in poor households through PV LED Technologies; 2) Improved Cook Stoves (ICS) to reduce local and global pollution; and 3) facilitating Eco Bio-toilets constructions.
GUTS is a newly formed organisation to take over the staff and functions of S3IDF, Hyderabad office. By mutual concern the S3IDF and the newly formed GUTS divided the activities and the pending issues.

Clean Cooking Activities
The main activity in the Hyderabad office is deployment of Improved Cook Stoves (ICS), which could avoid indoor pollution and global pollution. We actively participate in National & International events and competitions conducted by Global Alliance for Clean Cook Stoves.
We will be distributing Improved Cook Stoves of all manufacturers approved by MNRE. Due to increasing demand for one of the low cost cook stoves we were marketing and our own desire for decentralised production of cook stoves which could reduce the cost to the consumer and also create gainful livelihood activities in the villages, we have take up the production of such stoves also. Unnat Chulla Abhiyan (UCA Programmes) we have been award the task of deploying 2000 cook stoves. And the programme is under implementation. Under other small programmes we have deployed over 1000 cook stoves.
Partnership
We have been contributing to Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves for participating in USA programmes and suggestions when ever called far. Our suggestions have been towards forming at the State level and District level alliance of manufacturers, distributors and Champions clean cook stoves and providing them from the Global alliance support.
