Biogas
Clean Cooking Activities
We have been promoting the benefits of biogas technology as a renewable energy option for domestic cooking for the past 25 years. There are more than 3,000 farming families who have adopted these biogas digesters, which reduce biotic pressure on scarce forest resources as well as drudgery of head loading firewood for women and children. Currently we are scaling up the process through manufacturing prefabricated FRP digesters.
Partnership
We would like to demonstrate the benefits of this appropriate technology with several other stakeholders panning the Indian hIMALAYAN region as well in other regions of the sub continent. Alongside we would like to document the entire process and specifically the benefits accruing to women and children in terms of reduction of drudgery, time saving and improvement in quality of life. M&E would be an integral part of the process of change at the grassroots through spread of biogas technology.
