Beyond Households: Modern Energy for Cooking in Institutional Settings
As part of the Week of Clean Cooking, this webinar focuses on modern energy cooking transitions in institutional settings, such as in schools, health centres, prisons and community or religious settings, in both development and humanitarian contexts in the Global South. This high-level session primarily looks to facilitate and galvanise discussion between a range of actors about the key challenges and considerations associated with institutional cooking transitions, as well as existing opportunities and approaches to innovation. The webinar aims to help identify key gaps in our understanding of institutional cooking contexts and the technology, financing, delivery and governance challenges which need to be addressed.
The session will take the format of short presentations from participants followed by a panel discussion, with questions from the audience. Participants will include representatives from research, practitioner and government organisations with experience and interest in modern energy cooking in institutions.
