CCA Announces 2022 Clean Cooking Women Leaders of the Year
The award recognizes three women advancing clean cooking through policy, business, and youth.
Cooking over polluting, open fires or inefficient stoves leads to nearly 4 million deaths each year – more than malaria, tuberculosis, and HIV-AIDS combined. Yet this global crisis receives far less funding, support, and attention than these and other development issues.
The Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA) is a global leader in driving greater awareness of, engagement in, and support for clean cooking. CCA’s work includes a wide range of activities, such as creating global advocacy campaigns, engaging global champions, hosting major convenings, and sharing critical knowledge.
The sector’s flagship biennial event, the Clean Cooking Forum convenes hundreds of attendees from around the world who are working to build an industry that makes clean cooking accessible to the billions of people who live each day without it.
