Investing in Clean Cooking
To date, the level of funding and investment in the clean cooking sector has not matched the global magnitude of the challenge. Early data collected by CCA indicate that funding has stagnated in the range of tens of millions of dollars per year – significantly below what the International Energy Agency estimates will be needed to achieve universal access to clean cooking by 2030. This is the year to prioritize access to clean cooking solutions in global and national arenas, integrate clean cooking in national energy planning, and dramatically scale up public and private financing.
In this session as part of the Week of Clean Cooking, the Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA) and partners will preview new insights into the global investment landscape for clean cooking and share ground-level perspectives on clean cooking financing from investors and enterprises.
