Addressing Energy’s Interlinkages with SDG 4 on Education, SDG 5 on Gender and SDG 15 on Life on Land: The SDG 7 Policy Briefs 2022
The side-event will feature a presentation and discussion of the SDG 7 Policy Briefs 2022: Addressing Energy’s Interlinkages with Other SDGs. The SDG 7 Policy Briefs are released annually in support of the deliberations at the High-Level Political Forum, contributing also to the follow-up to the High-Level Dialogue on Energy, the implementation of the Decade of Action to deliver the SDGs and the UN Decade of Sustainable Energy for All 2014-2024.
The Briefs are compiled by the multi-stakeholder SDG 7 Technical Advisory Group, composed of 40 experts from governments, UN and international organizations, and other stakeholders. The Policy Briefs 2022 place a special focus on the interlinkages of SDG 7 with SDG 4 on Education, SDG 5 on Gender, and SDG 15 on Life on Land, and on regional progress. Importantly, they discuss potential indicators for tracking progress on these interlinkages.
