USAID Air Quality Working Group: Cooking Up Change – Private Sector Approaches for Scaling Up Clean Household Energy
Join the USAID Air Quality Working Group to learn from several private sector enterprises that are using carbon finance, pay as you go technologies, and innovative business models to accelerate access to clean cooking fuels and stoves. Around 30% of the global population continues to cook with polluting fuels, which are responsible for 39-50% of global anthropogenic black carbon emissions and over 3 million deaths per year.
We will hear from private sector companies including: KOKO Networks, Sistema.bio, and ATEC. In addition, we will hear an overview from the Clean Cooking Alliance about resources available for countries interested in accelerating access to clean cooking, and have brief updates from a subset of Missions working on household energy / sustainable landscape projects.
