Evaluating the Health and Climate Benefits of Clean Cooking Solutions
The Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves (Alliance) and the French research institute Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme (FMSH) are hosting a knowledge sharing workshop on Evaluating the Health and Climate Benefits of Clean Cooking Solutions to be held in parallel with the 21st Conference of Parties to the UNFCCC (COP21) in Paris, France on Tuesday, December 8th, 2015.
The workshop aims to capitalize on the COP’s focus on climate to:
1) present scientific evidence on the health, environment, and climate benefits of clean cooking;
2) highlight results-based financing schemes for clean cooking solutions that relate to black carbon and health;
3) engage project implementers, investors, and funders in the clean cooking sector; and
4) formulate recommendations for combining financial tools with research-based and pragmatic methodologies to drive implementation and optimize impact.
Due to space constraints, this event is invitation only. If you wish to attend the event, please contact Donee Alexander at dalexander@cleancookstoves.org.
