INNOVATOR DAYS
MONDAY, MAY 22 – FRIDAY, MAY 26
Side Events & Workshops will be organized around the Unlocking the Trillions Summit to provide additional capacity building, knowledge sharing and networking. Partners and private sector participants are welcomed to facilitate side events. Regional climate finance topics and business opportunities will be addressed and new trends and financial instruments presented over an entire week of content. The goal is for side event formats to be diverse in approach, allowing for highly technical knowledge sharing, short snappy product pitches and everything in-between.
INNOVATIVE IDEAS
Technical ‘how to’ Tutorials: 1-2 hour intimate sessions presented by technical experts, addressing key challenges and innovative products and solutions addressing climate finance. 25- 50 attendees per tutorial.
Indepth Case Studies: 1 hour deep dives into specific country or project case studies where multiple speakers from (government, business, investors) discuss their experience of solving specific challenges, with 20 minute audience Q&A. These sessions would be offered to sponsors and exhibitors at an increased rate.
Entrepreneur Shark Tank: 10 experienced entrepreneurs pitching for 5 minutes to a panel of distinguished investors for real money. 10 minutes of Q&A from audience followed by networking. Audience of up to 100 plus 5 investors.
Interactive Workshops: One hour to all day participatory workshops that surface key insights by leveraging the collective intelligence of those in the room. This is the most open, flexible format and can be run more as an open roundtable to facilitate networking around a particular topic.

Innovate4Climate with its partners Fira de Barcelona and IETA is also pleased to be able to host a global exhibition of thought leaders and solution providers The exhibition floor will also act as a hub for ongoing networking activities including speed networking, speaker office hours and designated networking zones.

UNLOCKING THE TRILLIONS
WEDNESDAY, MAY 24 – THURSDAY, MAY 25
A 2-day conference featuring high-level keynotes, panel discussion, fireside conversations, spark talks and structured networking. It will be a paid-for event for investors, policymakers, technology providers and entrepreneurs looking to accelerate climate-focused investment and solutions. The agenda will address the core topic areas impacting the speed of climate action, with side event content complementing this focus:
Greening Finance: Driving financial flows toward sustainable assets and infrastructure; promoting growth consistent with sound social and environmental policy goals
Innovating Finance: Instruments to spur innovation, de-risk and scale up private investment in mitigation and adaptation; trends such as the growth of green bonds and energy efficiency and retrofitting finance; consideration of financial instruments to support NDCs and sustainable development goals (SDGs)
Carbon Markets: Effective programs and policies to develop what could be the largest commodity market in the world; implementing new carbon market mechanisms through the Paris Agreement
Technology for Climate Friendly Growth: Creating opportunities for disruptive technologies to emerge; scaling low carbon technologies to create bankable projects; the role of data and metrics in transforming climate finance; potential of technology leapfrogging in developing regions.
