New Partner Webinar: SEI and SNV Presentation on Behavior Change Insights in the Clean Cooking Sector
Please join the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves (Alliance) on Wednesday, December 21 at 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST) for a webinar designed for Alliance new and existing partners. This webinar is part of a series that provides an introduction to the Alliance for new and current partners and an overview of how we work, the benefits of partnership, highlights, upcoming opportunities for partners, and features on specific tools, resources, or engagement activities. In addition, this webinar will provide insights from research on how households make decisions to purchase and use a new stove and fuel. The Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) – through its Behaviour and Choice initiative – has been working with SNV and other partners to gain a better understanding of the cookstove user; what drives them to switch stoves and what hinders them from doing so? In this seminar, SEI will present lessons learned from its ‘customer journey mapping’ work in Kenya and Zambia and findings from SNV’s health messaging campaign in Kenya and Cambodia.
The first 5 minutes of the webinar will familiarize partners with the work of the Alliance. Current partners are encouraged to listen in to learn about new programs, resources, and events that may be of interest
The next 40 minutes will feature an overview of how mapping the customer journey can illuminate the challenges people face in adopting a new stove or fuel. SEI and SNV will also discuss the extent to which health messaging really has an effect on people’s choice of cooking technology.
