One Young World 2022 Summit
Our Global Summit
The annual One Young World Summit brings together 2,000+ of the brightest young leaders from every country and sector, working to accelerate social impact both in-person and digitally. Delegates from 190+ countries are counselled by influential political, business, and humanitarian leaders such as Justin Trudeau, Paul Polman and Meghan Markle, and many others to harness the knowledge and skills needed for being impactful change-makers.
Delegates participate in four transformative days of speeches, panels, networking, and workshops. They also have the opportunity to apply to give keynote speeches, sharing a platform with global leaders with the world’s media in attendance.
Delegates have the opportunity to challenge world leaders, engage with, and be mentored by expert industry influencers and make lasting connections. Together we celebrate our young leaders through social events and the unforgettable Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

2022 Summit Venues
The One Young World 2022 Manchester Summit will be held at various venues across the city.
The Opening Ceremony will be held in the internationally renowned concert venue, Bridgewater Hall, home of the Hallé Orchestra. Digital Delegates will be able to join us on our Digital Platform.
Our Delegates and special guests will spend a transformative three days at the award-winning and iconic venue of Manchester Central, for a variety of speeches, panels, workshops and networking events.
Manchester Central is an award-winning venue in the heart of one of Europe’s most vibrant cities; its vaulted arches and station clock have made the venue an iconic city feature for more than 140 years. Located in the heart of Manchester, a city bursting with character, the venue is surrounded by a vibrant cultural and social scene.
Evening social programmes will take place at a selection of Manchester venues, showcasing the thriving food and drink scene Manchester has to offer.
Plenary Challenges
We are proud to announce the 2022 Plenary Challenge themes decided by our Global Consultation Process with our community of 13,000+ Ambassadors.
The challenges are:
- Conflict Prevention – How can we prevent conflicts?
- Gender Equality – How can we accelerate gender equality?
- Oceans – How can we safeguard and restore the world’s oceans?
- Ageing Populations – How do we stop an ageing population from becoming an ageing crisis?
- Ethical Leadership – How can we be and develop ethical leaders – more responsible and effective than previous generations?
- Health – How can we ensure health equity for all?
The Plenary sessions include speeches by world leaders and Delegate Speakers whose work, lived experiences and critical insights address the Plenary Challenges at hand, while offering ways for Delegates to take effective action when tackling global crises. All curated content at the Summit is shaped by the six Plenary Challenges, and these are the driving force for all discussions around creating a better world.

2022 Summit Workshops
Our Summit workshops provide Delegates with expert insights into the issues and topics they are most passionate about. Workshops offer practical skills, techniques, ideas, and processes that Delegates can implement in their own projects and initiatives for change.
The 2022 Summit will offer a hybrid of live, in-person workshops at both Manchester and regional One Young World Hubs, as well as online workshops that digital attendees can access through the One Young World Summit platform.
