Opportunities for Decentralized Renewable Energy in Clean Cooking

As part of the Week of Clean Cooking, this session, organized by MECS, will focus on analysis of the quality of decentralized renewable energy in clean cooking across India, and the additional revenue opportunities that can emerge from modern energy cooking.

The Talk Series is aimed at enabling the Transition to Modern Energy in Cooking. It is first of its kind, we have identified 12 modules for the Talk series, focusing on key aspects of Cooking Devices Design & Innovation, Research & Pilot, Finance for Clean Cooking, Nutrition & Electric Cooking, Energy Cooking Access, Capacity Building, MECS Global Resources, Support for Indian Device Manufacturers, Institutional Cooking, Market Opportunities for Indian Device manufacturers and Global Market Access. The current session would focus on Decentralized Renewable Energy. This sector is facing the double whammy of slowing demand on one hand and untapped demand on the other.  Through consistent efforts through multiple applications like agricultural pumps, cold storage, lighting solutions have emerged but is marred by the issues of storage. Applications like cooking energy present a vast opportunity as it has the potential to solve challenges of consistent and sustainable demand.
