Powering Progress: Market Creation Strategies for Solar e-Cooking Technologies in Off-grid and Displaced Communities
The main aim of this webinar is to communicate and discuss the key messages, facts, figures and arguments from the collaborative technical report published by the UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre, the Global Platform for Action on Sustainable Energy in Displacement Settings and the World Food Programme, in support of the multistakeholder ‘SOLCO’ initiative launched at COP28 and the Global Refugee Forum.
The webinar offers an opportunity for open discussion on market creation strategies and implementation pathways for solar e-cooking in displacement settings, bringing together a range of experts and stakeholders from the public and private sectors, INGOs and the UN. The one-hour session will also offer an open QnA around the SOLCO initiative for stakeholders within the climate, food security and humanitarian sectors, where solar e-cooking offers a viable technical solution to the multiple challenges facing off-grid and displaced communities in the global south.
