Summit on Clean Cooking in Africa
In partnership with CCA, the International Energy Agency (IEA) is co-hosting global leaders for a Summit on Clean Cooking in Africa to make 2024 a turning point for progress on ensuring clean cooking access for all.
Today, nearly four in five Africans are forced to rely on polluting cooking fuels like charcoal, wood, and kerosene to cook their meals. This has dire impacts on health, gender equality and the environment, with women and children bearing the worst consequences.
The event will be held on May 14, 2024 at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
