The eCooking Opportunity in Off-grid Contexts, and Country Examples
Registration is open for the forthcoming webinar “The eCooking Opportunity in Off-grid Contexts, and Country Examples”, led by Growing Government Engagement in Energy Access (GGEEA) and supported by the UK Aid (FCDO) funded Transforming Energy Access (TEA) programme, to be held on Monday 9 June 2025, 13:30 – 15:00 GMT. The webinar is the first event of a three-webinar series exploring the intersection of cooking technologies and electrification policies, focusing on affordability, financing mechanisms, and the role of innovative solutions like mini grids.
The increasing integration of eCooking solutions into off-grid electrification efforts offers a promising pathway for sustainable development, particularly in rural areas electrified with off-grid solutions but with limited access to clean cooking solutions. This webinar aims to delve into the opportunities and challenges associated with eCooking in off-grid contexts, drawing from practical examples in African countries. The webinar will be led by Dr Anna Clements, Research Associate, MECS. The webinar offers a great opportunity to learn about the integration of eCooking solutions into off-grid electrification efforts, connect with experts, and network with professionals.
