The Empowerment of Women in Sustainability
Join UNA-USA on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the United Nations Information Center from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm for a program entitled “The Empowerment of Women in Sustainability.” Inspired by the inaugural launch of Paris to DC: Acting for Affording Clean Energy in March 2016, this panel discussion will continue the conversation on the salience of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly on Global Goal 5 on gender equality.
The purpose of this event to is discuss the current status of the empowerment of women in sustainable industries, citing key examples from participating speakers as well as historical and relevant supporting research and data.
