In 2012 the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves developed the Spark Fund – a grant facility designed to mirror early stage investment. The goal of this facility is to help enterprises reach commercial viability and scale by funding business capacity development and growth. The Spark Fund aims to invest $2 million in grant capital annually in enterprises with scalable approaches that have the potential to transform the sector through their success.
The request for applications for the next round of Spark grants is set to be released in September 2013 and this webinar will provide information on how to prepare for Spark Round 2. The agenda for the webinar is as follows:
Jen Tweddell (Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves) will introduce the changes to the Spark Fund this year and provide tips on how to prepare a successful application.
Alex Bashian (Invested Development) will provide an investor’s perspective on how to utilize Spark funds to get your enterprise investment ready.
Stevie Valdez (Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves) will give an overview of the online resources available to enterprises applying to the Spark Fund.
These presentations will be followed by at least 25 minutes of Q&A.
