Call for Proposals: Alternative Fuel Assessment for Kenya (MECS)
Modern Energy Cooking Services (MECS) is offering an exciting opportunity for a Kenyan consulting firm to work with The Loughborough Centre for Sustainable Transitions: Energy, Environment and Resilience (STEER) on a project with the Kenyan Ministry of Energy to critically assess data on alternative cooking fuels and technology. The work will contribute to the development of a new Kenyan National Clean Cooking Strategy (KNCCS) to support the ambitious aim of 100% clean cooking by 2028.
STEER is looking for a consultant to identify and critically assess the scope and quality of current data sources on a range of cooking fuels including fuelwood, charcoal, biodiesel, briquettes, pellets, agricultural waste and municipal waste. The role will be largely home based for 16 weeks. Proposals should be sent to the Project Manager, Jane Spencer (j.e.spencer@lboro.ac.uk) by 23:59 BST on Sunday 5th June 2022.
