ClimateCare: 2021 Call for Emission Reduction Projects
Working with project implementation partners on the ground, we continue to set the standard for developing and delivering the highest quality emissions reduction projects.
We are open to proposals from clean cooking projects at all stages of development seeking finance and development support to deliver emissions reductions and improve lives.
ClimateCare has a long history in driving forward clean cooking. We lead authored the first Gold Standard improved cooking methodology; a methodology that has now been used across many projects and helped deliver more than 18.5 million tonnes of CO2 reductions. We also pioneered some of the first clean cooking projects funded by carbon finance. Continuing to lead in this space we recently partnered with Modern Energy Cooking Services (MECS), a UK Aid-funded programme to develop a new and innovative methodology to measure carbon emission reductions from the use of electric and other metered cooking devices. Gold Standard have just announced the approval of this new and innovative methodology.
We guide our selected project implementation partners from feasibility stage to carbon credit issuance and beyond, operating as a trusted partner. With unparalleled access to corporate demand ClimateCare can help project partners negotiate complex processes and ensure their project is able to deliver the robust climate and sustainable development outcomes the market demands. ClimateCare’s relationships with corporate clients and investors allows us to structure development financing that meets the needs of the project throughout its life, leaving you to focus on what you do best – running on-the-ground project activities and delivering impacts.
If you have a clean cooking project that’s in development or ready to scale, we are interested in hearing from you. Projects normally have to be a minimum size of distributing over 10,000 clean cookstoves per year.
Projects will be evaluated on a variety of metrics and our technical experts will work with you to assess whether projects are eligible and viable for carbon finance.
