CCA is responsible for the following research:

  • Outcome Buyers Landscape Insights: Outlining buyer decision journeys, mapping stakeholders in the outcome buyer landscape, and documenting the social value of externalities from transitioning to cleaner fuels and appliances.
  • Gender time study and methodology development: Determining the methodologies that quantify time saved by different clean cooking technologies.

Catalyze domestic markets

  • Domestic Financial Market and Carbon Finance Receivables Facility: Establishing, in partnership with the African Guarantee Fund and the UN Capital Development Fund, a global fund to unlock finance from domestic financial institutions in developing countries by leveraging carbon contracts. The programme will be tested in at least two countries before scale-up, potentially in 2024.
