Radha’s Message for January 2015
Dear Friends,
I hope the new year is off to a good start. The Alliance team has just concluded a few days of meetings in Washington DC to share, discuss and finalize our plans and deliverables for 2015. We look forward to a productive year working together with all of you as we kick off Phase 2 of our efforts.
This year 2015 is particularly important on the global front with many different issues that we care deeply about having prominence on the global stage. We will advocate strongly to ensure that clean cooking and the issue of household air pollution are included, and indicators developed, to measure progress in the Beijing+20, Post-2015 development agenda, and COP21 discussions. Clean cooking is one of a few interventions that can have a tangible impact across all three of these areas.
This year also marks the beginning of demand creation efforts across our focus countries and we look forward to partnering with you to add value in ways that can support you in further accelerating market development and adoption of cleaner cookstoves and fuels.
Digitally we have a new look and feel this year as we have modified our website to meet the ever growing needs of the sector. We hope you find this a welcome change!
