2020 Global Leap Awards EPC Competition
The first-ever Global LEAP Awards Electric Pressure Cooker Competition is accepting nominations, from 28 January through 27 March 2020, for appropriately designed, highly energy-efficient electric pressure cookers suitable for use in off-and weak-grid settings. All nominated products will undergo testing by an accredited laboratory for their energy performance, quality, and safety, and an evaluation by a panel of clean cooking experts.
Assessment on the Readiness for Widespread Adoption of Electric Cooking in Nepal – Request for Proposals
With the Government of Nepal prioritizing energy access as a vital step to improve population welfare, economic prosperity, and energy sovereignty, the Alliance is seeking a firm to support the assessment of Nepal's electricity status as it relates to the country’s readiness for widespread adoption of electric cooking, and to design a strategic and evidence-based plan for transitioning to electric cooking from an electricity generation, transmission, and distribution standpoint.

The Finance Catalyst links renewable energy projects to finance opportunities, targeting small- and medium-scale renewable energy projects in sub-Saharan Africa. It provides advisory support on project development, project structuring, and accessing finance through a team of dedicated experts with extensive experience in renewable energy project development and finance.
Small and Growing Business Fund
GroFin, in partnership with Shell Foundation, KfW, Dutch Good Growth Fund, and Norfund, is receiving applications for its Small and Growing Business Fund, totaling over US $100 million. This is the first fund of its kind, being an uncapped and unlimited-life fund to support the growth of small and growing businesses in Africa. The fund typically provides finance in the form of medium-term loans.
