COVID-19 Energy Access Relief Fund
This EUR 100 million targeted concessionary debt fund seeks to enable off-grid energy companies in sub-Saharan Africa and Asia to both maintain their customers’ existing energy services and retain the staff required to deliver future services to these customers. By providing emergency capital to off-grid energy companies, including clean cooking companies, the COVID-19 Energy Access Relief Fund aims to protect the progress already made toward achieving Sustainable Development Goal 7. By stabilizing economies in emerging markets and providing security for up to 370,000 jobs, the Fund will also ensure that the sector can continue to grow after the crisis.

EquaLife Capital’s Africa Venture Debt Recovery Fund will provide concessional venture debt utilizing Equalife’s deep experience of conducting thorough but efficient due diligence and fast disbursement to support the African business ecosystem.
Open Road Impact Fund
Open Road is raising $40 million for the Impact Fund, which will provide loans ranging to organizations located primarily in Africa, U.S., Latin America, and South Asia. The Impact Fund builds on Open Road’s established reputation as the market-maker in bridge financing and trusted partner to social entrepreneurs. The Impact Fund is the first fund by Open Road Alliance that is open to outside investors, offering the opportunity to access high impact investments across multiple geographies alongside a financial return of 2-4%.
Request for Proposals: Salesforce Implementation Project for Clean Cooking Alliance Partner
The Alliance is accepting proposals for a Salesforce implementation project for its partner, Bidhaa Sasa Limited (BSL). The project will include developing a set of software features for BSL’s Salesforce application as it relates to customer relationship management and inventory management.
Small and Growing Business Fund
GroFin, in partnership with Shell Foundation, KfW, Dutch Good Growth Fund, and Norfund, is receiving applications for its Small and Growing Business Fund, totaling over US $100 million. This is the first fund of its kind, being an uncapped and unlimited-life fund to support the growth of small and growing businesses in Africa. The fund typically provides finance in the form of medium-term loans
