Deadline for Results Reporting Survey Approaching
The Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves Results Reporting Survey is designed to provide a better understanding of the annual activities of the Alliance, including activities, results, and organizational goals. The Survey expands upon the annual results reporting previously conducted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Partnership for Clean Indoor Air (PCIA). This years’ results will include information that PCIA collected in the past (totals distributed/manufactured, financing options, stove testing, etc) as well as expanding to include activities from a broad range of organization types. The 2012 Results Report will also include information about fuel types, gender indicators, testing protocols, target beneficiary details, research categories, humanitarian programs, and manufacturing or production costs.
Thus, whether your organization manufactured or sold cookstoves and fuels or not, all partners are strong encouraged to submit a results report for 2012. If your organization had little direct stove or fuel manufacturing or distribution activity in 2012, your activities still contribute to the progress in the sector and we hope that the Results Report captures these enabling activities.
The Alliance will use the information provided in the survey to develop, in collaboration with a strong research firm, a unique report demonstrating the global progress toward the adoption of cleaner, more efficient cooking technologies and fuels. This will be shared with all partners at the Alliance’s celebration of it’s 3rd anniversary in September. This collective record of the progress toward adoption of improved cookstoves and fuels will benefit the Alliance’s partners, demonstrate the sectors’ progress to donors, investors, and the general public, and inform the development of policies, such as standards, and financing and investment options.
Many thanks to the 200 partners who have already submitted their survey. Please help us reach our goal of 350 partner responses by the July 31st final deadline! To ensure that final results are an accurate description of the sector, and that they include your organization’s results, please submit your 2012 Results Reporting Survey, about your program’s activities from January 1, 2012 – December 31, 2012. Please encourage your partners to submit or submit on their behalf.
