Radha’s Message for August 2017
Dear friends,
It’s been an incredibly busy August as we kicked off new programs in Nepal and Ghana while also gearing up for an autumn filled with market building, advocacy, and awareness-raising activities.
In Kathmandu, key partners helped launch an Alliance-led program to promote smoke-free kitchens, while in Accra, the Alliance joined the Ghana EPA to kick off a new air quality monitoring program to better measure household air pollution. In addition, we were also glad to work with National Geographic on a beautiful photo essay and feature story just published featuring clean cooking efforts in Guatemala, which will help educate millions of NatGeo readers globally about this issue!
Looking ahead, Alliance partners and champions will be promoting clean cooking during a host of events and activities during the United Nations General Assembly in September. And of course, the Clean Cooking Forum kicks off on October 24 in New Delhi, where we’ve lined up an impressive list of speakers, plenary discussions, and site visits. I look forward to seeing many of you next month in September and of course again in October in India!
Thanks for your continued support as we work toward September, October, and beyond
Our work continues,
Radha Muthiah
