Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Davis Broach, the Alliance’s new Senior Director of Market Development. Davis will be instrumental in helping to foster the global market essential to our 100 by 20 adoption goal.
Davis has a 15-year track record supporting emerging and developing market entrepreneurs and has overseen the transformation and management of a wide range of small- and medium-businesses and financial institutions in developing and emerging markets.
Prior to joining the Alliance, Davis was the Vice President of Social Enterprise at Relief International/EnterpriseWorks (RI/EW) charged with investing, expanding and bringing to scale sustainable and transformative innovations that generate financial returns and create social and environmental impacts. In addition to a $20 million microfinance portfolio in the Middle East and Asia, Davis oversaw Gyapa Enterprises, a distributor for high-impact products to low-income households in Ghana.
Before joining RI/EW, Davis was a Managing Director for the global fund management group SEAF Management LLC, where he oversaw a $30 million development fund financed by the Millennium Challenge Corporation that targeted agribusiness and tourism SMEs in the Republic of Georgia. He also served as Country Director for the Central Asian Small Enterprise Fund based in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and was the Senior Representative and Investment Officer for the Central & Eastern European Growth Fund in Warsaw, Poland. He has led direct SME investments, raised more than $75 million in external debt and equity finance, and designed and managed private equity and debt funds in Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, and South Asia.
Davis holds an MBA and MS in Development Management from American University. He completed his undergraduate studies at Oglethorpe University and Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.
