Mission
PFD has developed a gasification stove designed to use Jatropha as a biomass fuel.The cookstoves burn much cleaner than traditional stoves, and greatly improve air quality.In 2011, it is expected that JANI will have distributed 1,200 stoves.

The primary sectors that most closely represent our organization's experience and expertise are: agriculture, climate adaptation, health, and microcredit.;With its local partners, PFD has addressed issues relating to poverty, malnutrition, and preventable diseases through integrated activities in public health, safe drinking water and sanitation, secure livelihoods, and agricultural development.

Clean Cooking Activities
PFD is implementing the Jatropha, Agriculture and Nutrition Initiative (JANI) project in 18 districts in northern Tanzania, benefitting poor rural farmers. To date, JANI has benefitted 42,001 farmer households through 756 Jatropha producer groups.
Partnership
We would like to participate in local capacity building, and stove development, marketing and distribution. We have first-hand experience working with local populations, partners, and are able to implement our goals and initiatives successfully.
