Innovative Distribution Models for Uptake of Sustainable Fuels
This case study provides a detailed overview of the results and lessons learned from the EcoZoom East Africa’s Pilot Innovation Fund (PIF) project. As part of the third round of PIF, EcoZoom tested three distribution models for pellet fuel, including working with Community Health Volunteers (CHVs). EcoZoom also outlines the results of their loyalty and rewards program to incentivize pellet uptake and their analysis on the viability of providing households to pellets profitably. The Alliance’s Pilot Innovation Fund provides grants to finance game changing technology and business model innovations in the clean cookstoves and fuels sector.
