ISOMagazine: Turning up the heat on clean cooking solutions

An experpt from the most recent issue of ISOFocus Magazine, this issue features new sustainable technologies and practices. Specifically, this publication covers household air pollution and how its still a major concern for billions of people around the world, cutting lives short, damaging the environment and putting huge burdens on healthcare systems. Scaling access to cleaner, more modern cookstoves and fuels would go a long way to solving many of these challenges. Ranyee Chiang, formerly the Director of Standards, Technology, and Fuels at the Alliance and now the Chair of technical committee ISO/TC 285 for Clean cookstoves and clean cooking solutions, explains why ISO standards are an essential ingredient.
