Clean Cooking Activities
Apex Conservancy Organization’s aim of reducing excessive deforestation rate of the country through awareness campaigns, and promotion of alternative energy e.g. efficient energy saving cooking stoves, and LPG are aligned with the clean cook alliance portfolio.
In 2018, Apex Conservancy Organization successfully implemented energy project called “UN joint programme for sustainable charcoal production and alternative livelihoods” the project was containing production and distribution of 8,000 locally made improved stoves.
About 200 small business for women charcoal dealers were established and 3000 pieces of improved stoves were provided as a business startup. Also 5000 Internal displaced people ( IDPs) were reached, giving one improved stove each.

Apex Conservancy Organization is very much pleased to apply this partnership for global cooking energy development, the organization would like to participate in this partnership as a researcher, implementer, distributor, and awareness raising partner for Somaliland and Somalia. the organization would facilitate clean cooking alliance programmes in the country for the interest of both parties.
