Clean Cooking Activities

The model implemented in programs and African countries moves towards the eradication of poverty, equality between women and men, and helps the underprivileged. The development cooperation model has been extended to other groups of women and African countries. It has also been shared with other associations and local cooperation policies, national and international.® 

DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTION OF "CLEAN COOK STOVES"

ABSTRACT: The traditional fuel of wood or charcoal has harmful effects on health, environment, safety and employment of women who have to pick up the solid fuel and cooking with smoke. "Kitchen Clean" is a project to train a group of women representatives of the cooperative (COVAPCI) and other stakeholders in the Ivory Coast. The overall objective is to contribute to improving the living conditions of the Ivorian population through change of the wood stove or charcoal for cooking ethanol. It enables women's empowerment and effective participation in its development as a specific objective. Through training, information, advocacy, strategic partnerships and self-sustainable system for cooking are made aware of public and private organizations and all those affected in their entirety. It creates an internal and external organization of the project with two commissions: Clean Kitchen kitchens acquisition of ethanol and Afromanioc project formulation based on the Model Agribusiness International Development Cooperation (MAC ID) of the AMSDA.

PHASES OF PARTICIPATION

IDENTIFICATION AND FORMULATION: Women have been involved in identifying problems and priorities, considering alternative education strategic imperative Evers the sociocultural transformative effect of using ethanol cooking. Two visits to the country complete the formulation of the "Kitchen Clean". Visits to the infrastructure of the cooperative and meetings with their workers and presidents with effective and efficient communication.


Our involvement, spirit and knowledge of the reality of African communities influences the general and specific objectives in relation to the problem of the kitchen. Participants perform a subsequent instruction of the members of the cooperative and other stakeholders. Technological and information resources for communication during training project formulation "Kitchen Clean".

PERFORMANCE: Participation in training is mostly of the COVAPCI or target group. Group together and motivated. The training enables them to make lectures and training sessions. Visits to the different communities are reinforced by the advice and support of a sample of beneficiaries. Implement the training plan to play activities elsewhere. Also act as a bridge of communication and drive between the parties involved.

FOLLOW UP: Government information and communications make several progress reports submitted by the beneficiaries and the local agent of the project. Provide verified information of the different phases of the intervention and make changes and changes on the ground.

EVALUATION: Involved in the final assessment of project quality with acceptable risks and complete realistic assumptions, probability of success and benefits that justify the investment. Participants include women beneficiaries, COVAPCI administrative staff and agencies. The results become the material for the publication and dissemination in the different media of the country.
