Other Organizational Expertise
Ayiti Nexus was launched in 2012 in response to a growing demand for highly skilled technical assistance throughout Haiti.® A women-owned consulting firm, we are committed to Haiti's development by leading creative projects that encourage public dialogue, bring sustainable solutions to recurrent challenges, and/or help improve the public image. Technical, logistical and advisory services are offered to an array of clients including non-governmental organizations, development agencies, private and public institutions, and individuals. The firm's services focus on bridging the divide between concept and implementation through a strategic approach tailored to meet each client's goals. Unique products/activities are also developed in-house in line with the company's concern to bring attention to positive initiatives in Haiti, and are anchored in the partners' core beliefs in the importance of quality, sustainability, decentralization, and diplomacy. Established in Port-au-Prince with satellite operations in Cap Haitien, Ayiti Nexus is led by two senior consultants of Haitian and American backgrounds, with extensive experience managing grassroots projects of various natures and consulting with top development agencies DAI and Chemonics International.

Clean Cooking Activities
Ayiti® Nexus (“ANâ€), a sustainable business consultancy company based in Haiti, seeks to establish an ethanol-based clean cooking venture (hereafter “Companyâ€) in Haiti.
®
The Company will produce and retail to low-income households a safe, fast, and convenient cooking solution that consists of locally-produced ethanol-based cooking fuel and a modern cookstove.
®
This vertically-integrated business model was developed by CleanStar Ventures in 2010 and fully operationalized in Mozambique in 2012. It spans the entire value chain from the agricultural production, to agro-processing and ethanol production, to the operation of a heavily branded urban retail store network.
®
Partnership
Based on our model, over time, the Company will improve access to modern energy services for urban households, drive economic development and environmental restoration in rural areas, and deliver® solid financial returns.
®
By 2018,® approximately 2,000 smallholder-farming families in Haiti will have implemented CleanStar's sustainable farming system on 4,000 ha of their land, and on 1,000 ha controlled by the Company. ® This goal is aligned with that of the GACC making Ayiti Nexus an ideal partner for the program. ® Aside from exchanging knowledge, we'd like to participate in programs, funding and share resources where applicable.
®
Our ethanol cookstoves will be in use by 30,000 low-income households as a® cost-competitive® alternative to charcoal, with 15,000 L/day of fuel being distributed through Company-owned shops, kiosks, and bicycle trailers, and through 3rd® party reseller partners, generating total revenue of ~$10 million/yr .
