Clean Cooking Activities

Africa Kitchen Revolution is a project of Better World Cameroon (BWC) , teaching women's groups how to build and maintain Rocket stove cookstoves built from local materials (earth blocks). In a workshop the groups are introduced to efficient cooking and learn hands-on in one of the houses o build a stove. The commitment of each group is to continue building stoves for all members. The stoves are adapted for local cookware, sometimes very heavy, large pots. We train individuals to become trainers for further distribution of the ideas. We stay connected to the users and use what we learn to improve the models. The stoves are very low cost and can be maintained by their owners.

Partnership

Through our project we help implement better cooking practices and knowledge in Cameroon. We can support a local network with our organization and offer training programs on a national level. We look for network support, funding, information/ research, recognition.
