Clean Cooking Activities

Blue Gate Initiative has been involved in various air pollution projects. The organization took part in the design and production of smokeless charcoal fuel from agro waste carried out by Ecosolutions Limited. The clean fuel produced had been tested, patented, and ready for commercial use. The organization before its registration was part of the team that investigated the relationship between household air pollution from cooking and pregnancy outcomes with the intervention of ethanol fuel as substitute for the existing fuel in the selected community.

Partnership

Blue Gate has key interest in women's empowerment and capacity building, particularly in rural communities where the level of poverty is high. Our collaborative effort with other organizations such as Ecosolutions Limited to incorporate sustainable women empowerment in clean cooking.
