The Brown School is engaged in transdisciplinary research and practice collaborations with the Schools of Engineering and Medicine to address energy poverty, household air pollution, and sustained deployment of clean energy systems to improve social and health outcomes for women and children. ® In addition to measuring cookstove performance using state of the art aerosols monitoring and lung function tests, we are also innovating by bringing systems thinking to understand issues of clean cookstove dissemination and implementation in rural communities of India.
