Clean Cooking Activities
CDC provides the Alliance public health expertise and in-country assistance to health partners. Projects include: Kenya: A cookstove assessment of six different stoves for acceptability, economic feasibility, emissions, and exposures linked to planning a health intervention. Guatemala: A cookstove assessment for the Turbococina stove and the development of a Summer Institute for public health practitioners and researchers. India: Supporting the government to develop and implement four cookstove health intervention studies and assessment of burns morbidity and prevention strategies. The Division of Bacterial Diseases has an initiative to reduce pneumococcal disease in children.
