Mission
The centre's mission is to enhance access to sustainable energy services with a specific focus in rural areas.We are committed to the development of renewable energy technologies especially technologies for bioenergy (ICS,biogas,gasification and biofuel)
Other Organizational Expertise
Our goal is to create capacity in all related fields of renewable energy technologies with a special focus on the following: Solar photovoltaic (PV), Solar thermal, Bioenergy, Wind energy and Energy management;The Centre's major activities can be grouped in four categories: renewable energy development and demonstration (RD&D), education and outreach; testing and certifying solar energy systems; and technical assistance.

Clean Cooking Activities
Current initiatives include providing technical support to stove programm dissemination in the country. A special laboratory of biomass is underway to establish standards and characteristics of improved cook stoves.
Partnership
A market-based approach is often viewed as the best way to ensure sustainability of ICS projects.CERER performs test on biomass cookstove, provides training and capacity building to ICS producers and local technicians.
