Clean Cooking Activities

To promote the usage of efficient, affordable, sustainable and cleaner energy saving solutions among IDPs and host communities the households.

Training capacity building to woman in the use of clean cook-stoves.

Partnership

Children support Organization has been present in the country since 2011 in the areas of the environment, poverty alleviation, child marriage, Sexual gender based violence, national day's celebration on girl child, among other programs. CSO would like to participate in this partnership cordially. with the Global Alliance for Clean Cook-stoves initiated by social development organization of Bangladesh. The partnership between this organization plays vital role because 99% of south Sudan's rural and Peri-urban population depends on solid fuel for their cooking. Solid fuels means wood,and charcoal, agricultural waste. As a result, forest are destroying gradually and changed Bio diversity. Rural traditional stoves create a lot of smoke which is harmful for health. According to UNOCHA 3.60 million people are in need of health while 5.74million are in need of protection in south Sudan. For this reason, millions of people died immature age. According to ICAP every year 78.28% Children directly or indirectly die due to environment pollution and people indirectly suffer various incurable diseases. In south Sudan woman are directly involved with cooking and also serious diseases. Such as: Asthma, sneeze, tuberculosis etc.for this reason CSO want to participate in partnership.
